Preface

We are pleased to inform you that we have the 3^rd Particle Physics School in South-East Asia with some emphasis on B physics from March 9^th to 15^th, 2014 at Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand, dedicated for young students. We hope many of your attendance to this enjoyable shcool.

Program and Announcements

We will provide following lectures:
  -    4 lectures in series on Particle Physics Theory,
  -    5 lectures in series on Particle Physics Experiment,
  -    4 lectures in series on Particle Accelerator, and
  -    3 lectures in series on Particle Detector.
We also provide 4 demonstration classes for assembly of and experiments on a Wire Chamber kit.
Each slot of lectures and discussions are for 90 minutes.

[Student Presentation]

Participants are divided into 5 groups. (1 group: about 10 students)
At the student presentation session on March 15, each group gives a presentation on assignments.

5 groups
      (1) Particle Physics Theory: Prof. Iso
     (2) Particle Physics Experiment: Prof. Higuchi
      (3) Detector: Prof. Haba
      (4) Accelerator: Prof. Yoshioka
      (5) Experiment (Wire Chamber): Prof. Uno

Student Presentation Session is held on March 15 [09:00-11:30]

Each Group has 30 minutes
Presentation: 20 minutes
Discussion: 10 minutes

Each lecturer gives some assignment(s)
Students have a time to prepare the presentation on March 13 and 14.

Note:
If participants have PCs, we recommend they carry their own PCs.
Participants are able to connect to the Internet through Wifi free of charge at the Chiang Mai University.
